Engineering Lecturer of the Year
Congratulations to Martin Allen who was voted as Engineering Lecturer for the Year 2013. Martin was also one of the finalists for “Gesticulator of the Year” and mention was made at the awards of a performance in front of PHYS102 with a light sabre. He was beaten in this category by Law's David Round.
Finally, Martin was one of the three finalists for overall UC Lecturer of the Year, but narrowly beaten by Ekant Veer of the Management Department.
But there's more! Richard Jones was voted the Supervisor of the Year, again supported by a great citation about the efforts he puts in on behalf of his postgraduate students.
I'm sure you'll all join me in wishing Martin and Richard hearty congratulations.
