UC's College of Engineering has earned an international reputation for the quality of our teaching, research and the calibre of our graduates. The College of Engineering offers study options at both the undergraduate and postgraduate level.

What can you study?

Undergraduate study

At the undergraduate level, professional degree qualifications are offered as part of the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and Bachelor of Forestry Science degrees. We also offer study in the subjects of Computer Science, Mathematics, and Statistics.

Postgraduate study

Postgraduate study is an opportunity to obtain advanced knowledge about specialist topics and to plan and carry out original research. Postgraduate qualifications are offered in subject areas including Engineering, Forestry and Science as part of a Postgraduate Certificate/Diploma, Masters, or Doctoral degrees.

Upcoming Events for 2012

UC Regional Evenings
UC will be holding a number of Regional Information Evenings in July and August for Year 12 and Year 13 students and their families. Academic staff and members of the Liaison team will be present. Come and chat about your study options and accommodation.

UC Liaison School Visits and Career Expos
UC Liaison Officers and College of Engineering staff visit schools and local careers expos every year in your region. For more information, ask your school careers advisor and see the schedule above.

UC Open Days
Are you a prospective student thinking of studying at UC in 2013? Find out more about our programmes during UC's Open Days! UC Open Days will be held on 5-6 July 2012.

UC Women in Engineering Evening
A fun and informative evening for girls in Year 12 or 13 who are interested in finding out more about engineering. On Monday 21 May, we invite prospective students to come and discover why engineering is a great career and where it can take you, you can meet and mingle with current female engineering students and hear from women working as professional engineers in industry.

Christchurch Coca-Cola Careers Expo
Come visit College of Engineering student advisors and academic staff manning the UC stand at the Christchruch Coca-Cola Careers Expo, 13-15 May 2012, CBS Arena. Pick up the UC Undergrad Prospectus for 2013, meet staff and students, and view some cool engineering demos!
